LION KING is an incredible young stallion. Not only has he had phenomenal success when shown in hand, he has also been impressive under saddle. Lion King has now earned his full, Stud Book 1 Approval with Rheinland-Pfalz-Saar International (Zweibrucken) with his performance at FEI Level Dressage.

Lion King is exceeding everyone's expectations! He has been progressing up the levels, earning many high scores along the way and is competing at Prix St. George at 7 years old. He is also a GOLD MEDAL PREMIUM SIRE, his oldest foals being 3 year olds in 2008. They all have Lion King's easy going disposition and bold nature. And they are beautiful. His first foal shown was also a USDF DSHB Champion! His son, Lunar Tanz scored an impressive 8.8 on movement, 8.6 overall, Gold Medal Premium at the age of 5 weeks!

This exciting young stallion offers US breeders an incredible pedigree, movement, size and a wonderful disposition. His sire, Latimer passed his Stallion performance test in 1999 at Adelheidsdorf. In 2000 Latimer won the Trakehner Championat as well as the prestigious Bundeschampionat in Warendorf scoring the highest total score EVER while type and rideability were rated a 10. In 2001 he again proved his outstanding dressage potential by qualifying for the Finals in the 5yo dressage horse division. Latimer is currently competing at the FEI and Young Riders Levels with great successes!  He is the sire of 5 Approved sons in Europe, including Karolinger I, Karolinger II, Hibiskus, Immenhof and Illux as well as high sellers at various Verband auctions. Latimer has a stellar reputation for producing “RIDEABILITY”.

Lion King’s dam, Harmonie is truly a dream mare. By Elite Stallion, Hohenstein, who was awarded Stallion of the Year in Germany for his accomplishments along with his incredible offspring. Harmonie received a rarely seen score of 8.39 at her Mare Performance Test. She has been very successful in Mare shows being Best in Class as well as Champion mare of the Show. She was also invited to the very prestigious European Mare Show in Brussels (only 3 Hanoverian mares in all of Germany are chosen to compete there) and she was presented at the Lower Saxony Championships in Hanover as well. In addition to Lion King, Harmonie has also produced an excellent colt by Lauries Crusador xx who was bought as a weanling by the famous State Stud in Celle as a stallion candidate.

Lion King is a spectacular mover with an exceptionally nice disposition.  He is a joy to ride and train and thrives on learning. Although bred for "dressage", Lion King is willing and capable over fences.

Lion King is 16.3+ and is a beautiful black. He was selected as the ideal outcross for our Meisterwind daughters as well as Craig's next FEI Dressage Horse. He is very modern in type and has an exceptional pedigree that is hard, if not impossible, to find in North America. Lion King will be available to a few outside mares in 2011.
